FAQ

1. Where do lessons occur?

You have flexibility over the location of lesson. Our tutors can come to you. We will add a small mileage charge for travelling. Alternatively, we have several locations around the UK. Teaching can take place in these modern teaching spaces. And of course – all of our tutors can tutor online also. The decision is always yours.

2. When do lessons occur?

Our tutors are available to come to your home 7 days a week (between 10am and 8pm). Our teaching locations around the UK are open 7 days a week (10am-9pm Mon-Fri, 10am-6pm Saturday and 10am-6pm Sunday).

3. How do I book lessons?

Just give us a call or email and tell us what lessons you need. We will add the booking to our TutorCruncher timetabling system. You will receive a confirmation that the lesson has been booked. We will also send you a lesson reminder 4 hours before each class.

4. How can I make payment?

Once you are signed up to our online system – TutorCruncher, you can make payments there. We can send you a credit request which can be paid by credit or debit card. Alternatively, you can make a bank transfer or we can send you an invoice through Paypal. We are unable to accept cheques. Our tutors cannot accept cash under any circumstances.

5. What about insurance?

All of our tutors are employees of Aspire Tutors (not contractors/self-employed). They are covered for injury or loss while working. All of our teaching spaces have full public liability insurance.

6. What is your complaints procedure?

All complaints go directly to our Managing Director Christopher Mallon. You can email him at christopher@aspiretutors.uk.com – we do not have a Complaints Department as Christopher wants to deal with unhappy customers directly. We take each complaint very seriously.

7. What should a student bring to lessons?

This depends on the lesson. Your tutor will send you a message through TutorCruncher before a lesson to advise you what to bring. For each lesson, we recommend you bring pens, paper and your laptop, Ipad or phone. Free Wifi is available at all of our teaching locations.

8. How long will each lesson last?

Lesson length is flexible. This can range from 50 minutes to 4-5 hours. However, we insist on short breaks during longer classes.

9. What if a student has SEN?

We have access to tutors who have an incredible amount of experience with students who have SEN. We will make sure we adapt each class to your specific circumstances. This is something we take very seriously.
